Privacy Policy

"Privacy Policy" refers to the guidelines that the company must comply with so that users can use the service with peace of mind. 'EDGC' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company') provides the Privacy Policy in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea and guidelines that communication service providers must comply with. The Company discloses this Privacy Policy under the Terms and Policies section of the Uriwell App Service's create account page and my page so that users can always view it.

 

1. Personal Information Collection Items

The Company collects the minimum personal information necessary to provide services through the homepage or individual applications or programs when registering for membership or in the process of using services.

Required

  1. Email (ID), password, name (nickname), date of birth, gender, height, weight, contact information, in-service purchase, and payment history
  2. Sensitive information: pH, sodium, protein, blood, magnesium, specific gravity, vitamin C, uric acid, calcium, ketone, free radicals, glucose
  3. The Company collects the above personal information when the user logs into the service and provides some services by agreeing to the collection and use of personal information. The user may not agree to the collection and use of the above information. However, if the user does not agree to the collection and use of required item information and sensitive information (required) that are essential for the use of the services, the use of the Uriwell App service may be restricted.

* The following personal information may be generated and collected in the process of using the Uriwell App service. Generated information is processed with the consent of the user, but may be automatically generated and collected in the process of using the service. Automatically generated information: Client identification ID, client validation token information, device management information (device model, device OS information, device unique information (IMEI, MAC address), access IP information), log data, cookies, usage time, app installation, and deletion records.

 

Some services may collect additional personal information with user consent to provide various functions.

  • Required information: Information to perform the essential functions of the service.
  • Optional information: Information that collect to provide more specialized services. (Even if one does not enter optional information, will not be restricted from using the service.)

The breakdown of required information for each service is as follows.

[Verifying User Identity]

Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile Phone Number, Carrier, Domestic/Foreigner Status, Connecting Information (CI), And Duplication Information (DI)

[Using Paid Services]

Paying by credit card: Card Number (Partial), Card Company Name, etc.

Paying by mobile phone number: Mobile Phone Number, Payment Authorization Number, etc.

Making a bank transfer: Account Name, Bank Account, Bank Name, etc.

[Step Count]

For the step count, it updates with connecting Google Fit or Apple Health.

Step Count, Active Energy Burned

[Cash Receipt]

Mobile Phone Number, Cash Receipt Card Number

[Customer Consultation]

When inquiring and consulting with the customer center, Company may collect additional information to process the consultation.

 

2. Method of Collecting Personal Information

In principle, Company inform to users in advance for collecting personal information and get one’s consent. Company collect personal information through the following methods.

  • User agrees to the collection of personal information and enters the information directly during the registration and service use process.
  • Webpage, email, fax, telephone, etc. in the process of consultation through the customer center

In the process of using PC web and mobile web/app, information such as device information (OS, screen size, device ID, phone model, device model name), IP address, cookies, visit date, unauthorized use record, and service use record may be automatically generated and collected.

 

3. Use of Personal Information

Personal information is used for member management, service provision and improvement, and new service development.

  • Identification of members/confirmation of intention to join, verification of identity/age, prevention of unauthorized use
  • Developing new services, providing various services, handling inquiries or complaints, delivering notices
  • Transmission or delivery of contents and settlement of fees when using paid services
  • Preventing and sanctioning acts that interfere with the smooth operation of the service (including account theft and unauthorized use)
  • Records of service use, statistics on access frequency and service use, establishment of service environment in terms of privacy protection, and utilization for service improvement
 

To provide the Uriwell App service.

  • Providing health care services including pH, sodium, protein, blood, magnesium, specific gravity, vitamin C, uric acid, calcium, ketone, free radicals, and glucose in the user's urine (services through Uriwell App)
  • Sharing health information with users registered by the user (shared users and personal information items can be set by the user)
  • Sharing personal information with other services or platforms as set by the user (the user can set the other services or platforms and personal information items to be shared).
  • For daily challenge, collecting step count and active energy burn (the user can set to whether collecting the information or not)
 

4. Destruction of Personal Information

When a reason for destruction occurs, such as the achievement of the purpose of collection and use or withdrawal of membership, the method of destruction shall be determined in consideration of the form of personal information. If the information is in the form of an electronic file, it is safely deleted so that it cannot be recovered and reproduced, and if it is in the form of records, printed matter, or written matter, it is destroyed by shredding or incineration.

 

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Users may install and use services that allow data sharing through platforms provided by third-party service providers. In this process, if the Uriwell App service is provided in conjunction with a third-party service, the Company may provide personal information to the third party to the extent necessary with the express consent of the user, and the third party to whom the personal information is provided may also use the personal information provided only to the extent agreed to by the user.

 

6. User Rights and Executing Rights

Users may view or modify their personal information at any time, and may request to withdraw their consent to the collection, use, and provision of personal information or to cancel their subscription.

Users can modify membership information or withdraw membership through the settings in the service. When users make a request in writing, by phone or email through the customer center, Company will take action without delay. If user request correction of errors in personal information, Company will not use or provide the personal information until the correction is completed.

 

7. Matters Concerning Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices (Installation, Operation, and Rejection)

The Company uses cookies to support fast and convenient use of the Website and to provide customized services. What is a cookie? A cookie is a very small text file that a website sends to a user's browser when the user accesses the website and is stored on the user's PC or mobile device.

Purposes of Using Cookies

Company uses cookies to store and retrieve user’s information to enable automatic login and to provide personalized and customized services. When a user visits the website, the website server reads the cookies stored on the user's device to maintain the user's preferences and provide customized services. It is also used to provide personalized services such as optimized advertisements through the user's website visit history and usage type.

 

8. Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information

    1) Encryption of Users' Personal Information

    The Company transmits users' personal information using an encrypted communication section, and keeps important information such as passwords encrypted.

    2) Protection from Hacking or Computer Viruses

    The Company installs systems in areas where access is controlled from the outside to prevent leakage or damage of users' personal information due to hacking or computer viruses. Company have installed a system that can detect and block intrusions by hackers and others and monitors it 24 hours a day. Company install antivirus programs to prevent the system from being infected with the latest malware or viruses. Company also continuously research new hacking/security technologies and apply them to our services.

    3) Minimization of Employees with Access to Personal Information

    The Company limits the number of employees who handle users' personal information to a minimum, and provides regular training to all employees on users' personal information protection obligations and security.

    4) Preventive Measures Against Information Leakage

    The Company prevents information leakage by people in advance through the security pledge of all employees when they join the company, and has internal procedures to audit the implementation of the personal information protection policy and the compliance of employees.

    5) The Company has set the computer room as a special protection zone and controls access.

11. Notification Before Revision

The Company may amend the Privacy Policy for the purpose of reflecting changes in laws and regulations or services. If the privacy policy is changed, Company will notify to user for the change at least 7 days in advance. However, if there is a significant change in user rights, such as a change in the items of personal information collected or the purpose of use, Company will notify to user at least 30 days in advance.
